Birmingham, Ala - DAXKO announced today an agreement with the YMCA of Greater Cleveland to provide membership, program, financial development and financial processing services through its DAXKO Operations software. DAXKO is the leading provider of operations and financial management solutions for YMCAs, serving more than 350 associations nationwide.
The partnership between DAXKO and the YMCA of Greater Cleveland has been several years in the making. The Cleveland YMCA, like other Ys, has experienced difficult times in recent years. Declining membership, funding issues and an aging infrastructure forced the Y to make tough decisions. Through clear leadership and planning Cleveland has "turned the corner" financially and is poised for unprecedented growth and stability.
At the core of Cleveland’s resurgence is a five-year strategic plan known as Vision 2012: A Bridge to Tomorrow. Vision 2012 outlines how the YMCA will position itself to better serve the children and families of greater Cleveland. The plan focuses on issues affecting the community such as obesity, education and youth values and urges collaboration with other organizations to bring about positive change.
According to Glenn Haley, YMCA of Greater Cleveland CEO, it was basic business fundamentals that made the difference in selecting DAXKO as a partner. "Compared to other software systems, DAXKO was a perfect fit for the Cleveland YMCA when it came to value, service and support," he said.
"The Cleveland partnership represents DAXKO’s on-going commitment to develop solutions that serve the YMCA," said DAXKO COO David Wojczynski. "Our integrated suite approach for operations, accounting and health and wellness allows us to deliver an enterprise package that gives YMCAs a 360-degree management view. It also demonstrates DAXKO’s ability to serve Ys of all sizes. We are extremely proud to have Cleveland as a partner."
The YMCA of Greater Cleveland will begin preparing for implementation immediately and launch DAXKO Operations in early 2009.
