YMCA of Broward County Kicks Off 2010 with the Launch of DAXKO Operations

The YMCA of Broward County is off to a flying start in 2010 after the December launch of DAXKO Operations. Broward launched DAXKO Operations following a successful October rollout of DAXKO Accounting. DAXKO Operations is DAXKO’s flagship operational software providing membership, program, financial development, and financial processing services to more than 350 YMCAs.
The YMCA of Broward County serves more than 87,000 individuals annually at seven facility and forty-eight childcare locations. The YMCA has implemented an aggressive five-year plan to double its operating size – increasing the number of members served to nearly 250,000. The YMCA of Broward County partnered with DAXKO to help it meet its complex needs.
“We had specific criteria for our next technology partner,” said Broward’s V.P. of Operations Debbie Metzger. “In order to reach our growth goals we needed a system that would give us accurate information in real-time. We needed the operations system to integrate with our accounting system. And finally, we needed a system to help speed up our member engagement process. DAXKO met each one of those requirements.”
With more than 860 full and part-time employees, Broward’s new software solution needed to be easy to use as well. “From an operational side, I really wanted a system that would be easy for our staff to learn and use,” Metzger said. “DAXKO’s staff came to our facilities and worked with us to get everyone quickly up-to-speed on DAXKO Operations. Their level of service was outstanding. I’m very pleased with the result.”
